Webcraft UK Ltd is a small but experienced web design and development company based near Oban in Argyll. The business was started in Aberdeenshire in 1995 to realise the potential of the web for rural craft businesses in Scotland. It soon became obvious that there was a wider small business market needing experienced commercial web development services. We became a limited company in 1996 and moved to Argyll in 2003.

In 1995 web creation software was non-existent, and all sites had to be hand coded. We still prefer to hand code at least part of most sites, as this allows complete design freedom. Many of the new web design businesses springing up like mushrooms have no real understanding of the underlying concepts and technologies, and so are stuck with the limitations of the particular software package they use.

We are client-centric, and realise that we must understand your business before we build your internet solution. We offer a detailed free initial consultation prior to preparing a comprehensive no-obligation quotation. We liase with you at all stages of the build, uploading the site as it develops to a temporary web address known only to you (and us, of course). Only when you are completely happy will your site go live.
