July 2009 - Spam volume increasing worldwide
|

|
You may have noticed a dramatic increase in spam recently. This is a worldwide problem, so please don't feel that you have been singled out. We are currently receiving over 200 spam emails a day. To minimise spam only give your email address to people you REALLY want to have it. Make sure that if it is on your website it has been made unreadable by spammers. (We do this as a matter of course when we build a site). Newer versions of Outlook Express and Windows Mail (plus many other email clients) already have some form of spam filtering and will put messages they suspect are spam into a junk mail folder for you. DO check this occasionally as sometimes mail you may want to receive gets filterd out. If you want to prevent mail getting as far as your PC then you might want to download and install MAILWASHER . It's free, easy to use and enables you to delete junk mail on the server before it gets to your computer. | |||
