Our £299 New Year package includes:
- Full Wordpress installation on our servers using your own domain name (includes registration if required)
- A day's training on your premises (travel expenses charged for businesses outside Oban)
- A whole year's hosting with full e-mail and telephone support
The installation we provide will feature the latest Wordpress theme, which can be customised with your own graphics. We will include a top anti-spam plugin and free backups of your site. The training will include:
- How Wordpress works and what it can be used for
- Creating pages and posts and the difference between them
- How to get the best out of the Wordpress editor
- Managing images in posts and pages
- Allowing or disallowing and managing comments
- What plug-ins are and how they work
- Keeping your Wordpress site secure and up to date
At the end of your free day's training you will have created the basic structure of your site and be confident and eager to develop it further. We will provide detailed notes in the form of a manual, and of course you can always call or e-mail us. Support is included with your hosting, which is for one year. At the end of that year we will bill you at the rate of £125 per year, but there is no absolutely obligation - you are fee to move your site to another host if for any reason you are unhappy with the service we are providing, and we will provide the full backup files to allow you to do this.
Wordpress can also be used for more complex sites by using specialist plug-ins to provide other services such as online sales (e-commerce). This sort of advanced functionality is outwith the scope of this offer, but we will be happy to advise or to quote for further customisation of your Wordpress site should you require it. One of the huge advantages of Wordpress is that it can be changed, added to and customised without having to start from scratch - all your existing content can be seamlessly transferred to a new theme and plug-ins can be added without affecting existing functionality.
